At the moment due to Covid-19 this project may not make sense to some but please keep in mind as you are reading below, that this project began before the pandemic and we are believing that things will soon get back to normal.

In our area there has never been a requirement for masks to be worn outside where there are no large groups, so for families with small children living in crowded apartments, much time has been spent in the outdoors.

If this park existed today it would be a huge blessing to these families as social distancing and the sanitizing of this equipment could easily be maintained.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

In today’s society, children and teens, rich and poor, are engaged in the virtual world more than ever before. Technology has its benefits, but it can also be a trap for the younger generation. Having this in mind, we have prayed for, and have worked towards creating avenues, to help and encourage the children and teens in our community to get out and enjoy real life activities.

Last fall, a representative from our district counsel met with us to discuss working together on a project at the community center property. We then determined that an educational/play park is what our community needs: a free, clean, open space, filled with fun, attractive and interesting activities, where children, teens and families can gather often to relax and build relationships.

This playground will also benefit children attending the future afterschool which we are presently working towards.

How can you help?

You can help us to get a $60,000 grant for the playground equipment and educational activities!

To get this grant, the cost of fencing, lighting, sidewalks, landscaping and restrooms must be covered by us and this money needs to be placed into an account in order for us to sign the grant contract at the end of October 2020. * This has been extended until January 2021 due to governmental restrictions.

The cost of our part will be $25,000. (The actual construction of the park will begin in Spring of 2021.)

So, together, with us investing $25,000 we will be able to create a beautiful educational park for the people of Sebis, Romania.
