“Bringing Hope to Ukraine”

Bringing Hope to Ukraine

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Barnabas Ministries has continued to work alongside local churches and ministry partners to bring both practical help and the hope of Christ to those affected by the ongoing conflict.

Through regular ministry trips into Ukraine, we have had the opportunity to serve refugees, encourage wounded soldiers, visit orphanages, distribute food and humanitarian aid, and minister in communities deeply impacted by the war.

While the physical needs remain great, we have also seen how deeply people are searching for hope, peace, and encouragement during these difficult times. Whether praying with families, supporting local churches, ministering to children, or simply listening to someone’s story, we believe even small acts of compassion can point people toward Christ.

Many of these ministry opportunities take place in partnership with pastors and churches inside Ukraine who continue faithfully serving their communities despite the challenges around them.

Please continue praying:

  • For protection and wisdom during each ministry trip

  • For the churches and leaders serving in Ukraine

  • For refugees, families, and children affected by the war

  • That hearts would remain open to the hope of the Gospel

If you would like to support these outreach efforts, your partnership helps provide food assistance, transportation, humanitarian aid, and ongoing ministry opportunities throughout Ukraine.

Testimonies

During one of our recent ministry trips into Ukraine, our team once again visited an orphanage we first connected with at the beginning of the war after they had been relocated from an eastern region affected by the fighting. As we arrived, some of the children immediately recognized members of our team and greeted us with smiles, hugs, and excitement simply because someone had returned for them.

Before leaving, one of the workers quietly asked when we would come back again. That simple question was a powerful reminder that beyond humanitarian aid, one of the greatest things we can offer is encouragement, consistency, and the reminder that they are not forgotten. Through each trip into Ukraine, our desire is to bring both practical help and the hope of Christ to children and families living through very difficult circumstances.

Current Needs

As the war continues, many families throughout Ukraine are still facing tremendous hardship. Several of the churches we partner with are providing weekly food assistance to refugees, displaced families, and wounded soldiers, while also continuing to minister spiritually to their communities.

During our upcoming ministry trips, we hope to continue helping provide:

  • Food assistance for families and refugees

  • Support for orphanages and children’s ministries

  • Transportation and fuel for ministry travel

  • Humanitarian aid distributed through local churches

  • Encouragement and support for pastors and ministry leaders

Rising fuel costs and ongoing economic difficulties continue to place heavy pressure on both families and churches throughout the region. Please continue praying for the people of Ukraine and for the churches faithfully serving during these difficult circumstances.

If you would like to help support these outreach efforts, your partnership truly makes a difference in bringing both practical help and the hope of Christ to those in need.

Upcoming Trips

Our next ministry trip into Ukraine is scheduled for May 15–17. During this trip, a team of 14 of us will once again partner with local churches and ministry leaders to encourage refugees, visit orphanages, minister to children and families, and provide practical humanitarian assistance to those affected by the ongoing war.

We are especially looking forward to reconnecting with many of the people and communities we have built relationships with in the past. Please pray for protection in travel, unity within our team, open doors for ministry, and that the Lord would continue to bring encouragement and hope to those we meet along the way.
